KALEIDOSCOPES & RAINBOWS
New Perceptions & Reflections
Kaleidoscopes and Rainbows - a fun thought provoking, experiential workshop. Its primary lesson: "What we hold in our consciousnesses as being so, will out manifest in our actions and affairs." Participants use music, song, dance, creative visualization, and journaling to demonstrate how sound, color, light, and vibration have healing effects on the human mind, body and spirit.
Kaleidoscopes and Rainbows uses focused intention and reflection to shift our personal realities into a space that works for us as co-creators of our personal lives, bringing about a more meaningful experience of the world in which we live.
Imagine looking through a kaleidoscope! With each turn of the scope, new shapes and colors appear - different, unique and beautiful.
We are an expression of our evolution, of the revolution of our personal kaleidoscopes.

History Behind Kaleidoscopes & Rainbows
Kaleidoscopes and Rainbows was born out of and inspired by the Women's Inter Agency HIV Study, also known as WIHS, at Georgetown University in 1996 also supported by hospitals such as Howard University, Northern Virginia, George Washington, and the Whitman-Walker Clinic. At that time April served on the Community Advisory Board, who's main purpose was to educate and encourage women affected by HIV and AIDS to live life fully. It's purpose, to prove that when the spirit is lifted the T-Cell count goes up thus the immune system is strenghthend. This is where she had her first platform to demonstrate how sound, color light and vibration effect the human condition through interactive experential excercises. From that point on, April has been a stand for demonstrating the effects of how color, sound, light and perception effect our well being. The response from the inter-agency staff and the women involved was tremendous. Their response was the impetous for Kaleidoscopes and Rainbows (New Perceptions and Reflections) branching out to other groups within the community.
